Baton Rouge Symphony Orchestra
Terry McKinney was appointed to the principal percussion position.   Terry holds a BM from University of Texas at Austin (1998), MM from Texas A&M University-Commerce (2000); Teachers include: Tony Edwards, Matthew Strauss, Brian Delsignore.  2007
 
 
Evansville Philharmonic
has appointed Bill Shaltis to the position of Principal Percussion.  He was also appointed Second Percussion with the Owensboro Symphony and is Consortium Instructor of Percussion at the University of Evansville.  Bill holds degrees from Michigan State University (BM Music Education) and the Boston Conservatory (MM Performance).  2007
 
 
South Bend Symphony Orchestra has appointed Joel Stuki to the position of Section Percussion.  2007
 
 
Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra has appointed Derek Stults to the position of Section Percussion.  Derek Stults (MM – DePaul University, BM – The Hartt School) currently serves as Principal Percussionist of the Battle Creek Symphony and has recently won a position with the Southwest Michigan Symphony Orchestra.  He has played as a substitute with the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.  Derek actively freelances around the Chicago area, also playing Principal Timpani with the Oistrach Chamber Orchestra and Associate Percussion with the Civic Orchestra of Chicago.  He is currently working on a Performance Certificate at the Chicago College of Performing Arts.  Principal teachers have been Vadim Karpinos, Ed Harrison, Ted Atkatz, Eric Millstein, and Benjamin Toth.  2008
